Rothenstadt is a small town near Weiden in the Upper Palatinate. Rothenstadt station, with its railway buildings, was originally located on the Regensburg-Weiden railway line. After its closure, there was only a halt there, which no longer exists today. The Rothenstadt station ensemble, consisting of the station and goods shed, was constructed according to old plans. The matching figure set from Era 1/2 is modeled after a historical photograph showing the original people at the station. The limited-edition Rothenstadt station kit includes a reprint of the contemporary photograph.

The reception building has an interesting layout typical of railway buildings in the region, with the higher building section running perpendicular to the platform, which also houses the staff quarters, and the lower building section running parallel to the platform with the attached waiting room. The structure of the plastered walls is realistically depicted. The gable is made of real wood. The tiled roof with its large overhang has a prototypical look and feel. Rain gutters, downpipes, and insulators for the power supply are delicately crafted. A small wooden shed is attached to the rear. Other real wood parts include the doors, mullioned windows, and shutters. The entrance door to the waiting room can be opened (opening 20 x 47 mm). A wooden fence serves as a platform barrier. The figure set for Rothenstadt station was created based on a contemporary photograph from the 1910s and thus depicts original people from the historic station environment. It includes a photographer with a plate camera on a wooden tripod, two women, a mother with a child, and a railway official. The figures are detailed and fully painted.

The Rothenstadt station set contains a reprint of the original photograph, which served as the model for the station and the figure set.
