WIKING 114003 - Self-build garage (3S) - pale brown/ivoryPrototype InformationIntroduced as a kit by WIKING in 1967, it returns 55 years later as a ready-made model. Around 60,000 of these garage models were ordered by the 3S garage manufacturer alone after the 1:87 scale introduction in 1967, and they also offered them in their own garage catalog. And indeed: For every "large" garage, there was a "small" garage for the children. As a kit, it was a truly appealing gift that was very well received everywhere, the manufacturer fondly recalls. In 1971, the garage disappeared from the WIKING product line. This also marked the end of the extensive accessory program that WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer had maintained until then. The self-assembly garage was indeed based on the original prototype.
