YaMoRC

YaMoRC stands for modern digital technology for model railways – developed “by model railway enthusiasts for model railway enthusiasts”. The manufacturer (brand of Drenth Design & Consulting BV, Apeldoorn/NL) focuses on DCC-based electronics that are powerful, easy to use and highly compatible. The portfolio includes digital control units, boosters, feedback modules, signal/switching and servo decoders, and accessories. One highlight is the YD7010 DCC control unit: It combines the proven technology of the YD7001 series with the YD9401 network module, offers WLAN/AP + LAN (100baseT), three virtual USB COM ports, and supports multiple protocols simultaneously (including Z21®, LocoNet Binary & LBServer, XpressNet LAN, JMRI/WiThrottle, and YD.Command). The 3-A-Booster is integrated; the DCC-Signal Generator prioritizes commands and generates the RailCom-Cut-Out.

For feedback and track occupancy, YaMoRC offers, among other things, the YD6016-Series for LocoNet, R-Bus/XpressNet and S88N/ES-Link – optionally also as the RailCom variant YD6016LN-RC with 16 local RailCom detectors plus POM-Read on all channels. This allows addresses, speed, and occupancy states to be precisely recorded and reported to the control software. The YD8116 decoder (16-channel switching/signaling, MOSFET outputs) and the YD8248 decoder (servos & switching outputs) excel in switching & signaling applications – ideal for turnout drives, signals, and automation tasks. Additionally, there are solenoid decoders (e.g., YD8008), boosters YD7403, and power supplies YD7460. With ES-Link (extended S88 bus), modules can be easily configured and updated via USB or cascade; adapters like the YD6901/6902 connect modules conveniently. For turntables and polarization, the YD7652/7652EX and YD7432 are available – with RailCom feedback and LocoNet integration for reliable, short-circuit-free reversing loops and bridge positions. Practical advantages: YaMoRC relies on open interfaces (DCC, LocoNet, XpressNet, S88/ES-Link), web/USB configuration, firmware updates, and broad software compatibility (e.g., TrainController, JMRI). The community-maintained YaMoRC wiki provides step-by-step guides for integration and configuration.
