BUSCH 12018 - Starter set »Parkbahn«Contents: Locomotive with 2 visitor cars, tracks, and battery box with forward/reverse/stop switch (2 x 1.5 V LR6/AA batteries, not included). Includes a cut-out sheet with self-adhesive motifs for decorating the visitor cars (as an adventure train, city or park train, or Chemnitz Park Railway, etc.). The functioning model is modeled after the Chemnitz Park Railway (www.parkeisenbahn-chemnitz.de). Originally, the locomotive (mine railway locomotive B 360, built in 1985) was used with the crew cars in the Hartenstein mining operation, the deepest mine in Europe at 1,500 meters. The "Technical Working Group of the Park Railway" received the train as a donation from the Wismut company after its decommissioning in 1994. The locomotive and carriages were refurbished for use in Chemnitz, where they are still in use today. The park railway is a narrow-gauge railway and compatible with the Busch Feldbahn (H0f), meaning the same tracks and power supply can be used, and the locomotives and carriages of both systems can be coupled together. A built-in magnet in the locomotive and an integrated metal insert in the field railway tracks increase the contact pressure on the rails. This ensures secure contact and high pulling power for smooth travel. The track oval has a space requirement of approximately 375 x 250 mm and consists of 8 curved tracks (radius 115 mm, 45 degrees), 1 straight track 133.2 mm, and 1 siding 133.2 mm. To operate the train, two 1.5 V LR6/AA batteries (not included) or a 3 V DC power supply are required. Since the locomotives consume minimal power, the batteries last a very long time. BUSCH 12116 - Diesel locomotive Gmeinder 15/18With working headlight! Replica of a Gmeinder 15/18 hp field railway locomotive with an open cab. Wheel arrangement B. Length: approx. 35 mm. Diesel Locomotive Gmeinder 15/18 This field railway locomotive corresponds to a type that was manufactured using this design principle from the mid-1920s by the Baden-based company Gmeinder. The locomotive was produced in large numbers until the 1950s and, thanks to its robustness, some are still in use today. The prototype field railway locomotive is designated "Gmeinder 15/18" according to its horsepower (15 hp continuous power/18 hp short-term power) and is powered by a diesel engine with a three-speed gearbox and chain drive, achieving a maximum speed of 12 km/h. The track gauge is 600 mm. Like the original, the locomotive models are available in versions with open and closed cabs. The small locomotives are powered by a 3-volt micro-precision motor with gear reduction for prototypical slow travel and strong tractive force. A built-in magnet increases the contact pressure of the locomotive on the metal-backed narrow-gauge tracks, thus ensuring reliable current collection from the rails and smooth slow travel. The locomotives have a coupling pin on the rear of the cab for realistic train formation and a magnetic coupling for operation with trolleys and wagons from the Busch mine railway range. Like the original, the narrow-gauge locomotive can operate on the smallest track radii (up to 100 mm). Due to its compact design and small space requirement, it is also ideal for diorama creation and addition to existing model railway layouts. BUSCH 12122 - Diesel locomotive »LKM Ns 2f«Narrow-gauge locomotive in a closed design. Based on a model originally from the Gernrode lime works. It is still in use today on the Stumpfwaldbahn in Ramsen. Wheel arrangement B. Length: 36 mm. The Ns2f narrow-gauge locomotive The Ns2f narrow-gauge locomotive from Lokomotivbau Karl Marx was one of the most frequently built narrow-gauge locomotives in the GDR. It was first presented at the Leipzig Trade Fair in 1952 with the serial number 48318. It is powered by a 30 hp engine, which transmits its power to the locomotive's two axles via coupling rods. The transmission was fitted with multi-disk wet clutches for the first two gears and a third gear with a multi-disk dry clutch for speeds of up to 14 km/h. The locomotive has an electrical system and is designed for track gauges from 485 to 630 mm. 550 examples of this popular narrow-gauge locomotive were manufactured between 1952 and 1959. Due to its robustness, it is still widely used today on park railways and heritage railways, even in western regions. The Model Like the original, the locomotive models are available in versions with open and closed cabs. The small locomotives are powered by a 3-volt micro-precision motor with gear reduction for prototypical slow travel and strong tractive power. A built-in magnet increases the contact pressure of the locomotive on the metal-backed narrow-gauge tracks, thus ensuring reliable power consumption from the rails and smooth slow travel. The locomotives have a coupling pin on the rear of the cab for realistic train formation, as well as a magnetic coupling for operation with trolleys and wagons from the Busch mine railway range. Just like the original, the narrow-gauge railway locomotive can be used on extremely narrow track radii (up to 100 mm). Due to its compact design and small space requirements, it is also ideal for use in dioramas and to complement existing model railway layouts. Lokomotivbau Karl Marx in Babelsberg VEB Lokomotivbau Karl Marx Babelsberg (LKM) was the most important manufacturer of diesel-powered narrow-gauge railway locomotives in the GDR and originated from the factory of Maschinenbau und Bahnbedarf Aktiengesellschaft, formerly Orenstein & Koppel in Berlin. In 1948, it was incorporated into VVB LOWA (the abbreviation LOWA referred to the Association of People's Owned Enterprises for Locomotive and Wagon Construction of the GDR, founded in 1945). The diesel locomotive program, launched in 1950, included numerous narrow-gauge variants. VEB LKM existed until the end of the GDR in 1990 and was closed in 1992 after being converted into a GmbH (limited liability company) and subsequently wound up. Today, a business park is located on the former LKM factory site in Potsdam. BUSCH 12136 - Diesel locomotive Deutz OMZ 122 FWith working headlight. Closed design. Wheel arrangement B. Length: 43 mm. The Deutz OMZ 122 F narrow-gauge locomotive With the Deutz OMZ 122 narrow-gauge locomotive, Busch has created a popular traction vehicle. The locomotive was built between 1932 and 1942 by Humboldt-Deutz in Cologne and was primarily used for shunting duties. The design is limited to the essentials: The locomotives are equipped with only a simple manual transmission and do not even have an air brake. One wheel set is directly driven, the second is driven via a coupling rod. The 600 mm gauge version has an output of 40 hp and a top speed of 17.5 km/h. The engine is started with compressed air. The model delicately reproduces details such as the connecting rods, exhaust, nameplate, etc. By the way, Deutz didn't have separate type designations for its locomotives, but used the engine designations for the locomotives as well. To distinguish the locomotives by name, it has become common practice to add an "F" for field railway locomotive, an "R" for shunting locomotive, and an "F" for mine locomotive to the engine designation.
