BUSCH 210006422 - MH: Tractor Pioneer + trailer with gravel
Green RS 01 tractor with a red, gravel-laden T4 trailer. The RS 01, bearing the well-known brand name Pionier, was the first tractor produced in the GDR between 1949 and 1959. Its technology dates back to a pre-war development. Production initially began at VEB HORCH Kraftfahrzeuge – und Motorwerke Zwickau, then at the state-owned company "Schlepperwerke Nordhausen." The RS 01/Pionier is a frameless, block-type tractor with a rigid rear axle. The front axle is a leaf-sprung swing axle. Initially, the Pionier was only available with a driver's cab, but later it could also be purchased without one. The tractor is powered by a water-cooled, inline four-cylinder, four-stroke diesel engine with a displacement of 5 liters and an output of 29.4 kW. The Pioneer was primarily used in agriculture and forestry, where it proved to be an extremely robust and reliable companion.
