BUSCH 25018 - Messerschmitt Bf 109 G6, Hungary
Messerschmitt G6 from 1944 of the 101st Fighter Group, also known as the Puma Group. The Puma Group was formed under Lieutenant Colonel Aladár Heppes (born November 20, 1904 in Arad, Hungary) to defend Hungary against the advancing Red Army. The first fighters of this type were assigned to the 5/1st and 5/2nd Squadrons of the 5/I. Fighter Group for the defense of the Eastern Front. The Royal Hungarian Air Force acquired the first 59 Messerschmitt aircraft (G-2 and G-6) in Germany, and approximately 700 more were built under license in the factories in Györ and Budapest.
