The HW 60.11 two-way tipping trailer from the Ernst Thälmann vehicle factory in Lübtheen complemented the 8-ton HW 80 trailer. Ideally, the trailer was attached to tractors or trucks as a towing vehicle, thus meeting its primary application in construction and agriculture. The trailer's permissible payload was 6 tons up to 30 km/h, 5.4 tons up to 60 km/h, and 5.3 tons up to 80 km/h. Side elevations of 300 mm were also possible. The trailer could be driven with low- or high-pressure tires. To ensure faster discharge, the trailer was equipped with a motor-hydraulic tipping system combined with automatic side wall operation. This system was supplied and operated with pressurized oil from the towing vehicle. The automatic, load-dependent brake, secured by a continuously variable control, ensured optimal braking performance. The trailer hitch was equipped with multiple connections, allowing two trailers to be towed. Thanks to its unique robustness, the trailer can still be found in fields today.
