BUSCH 5962 - IR light barrier
IR transmitter and IR receiver 18 x 9 x 20 mm. The range with electronic relay 5740 and control module 5745 is max. 100 mm, with timer 5961/5963 max. 250 mm.An IR light barrier consists of a transmitter that emits invisible IR (infrared) light and a receiver that registers this light. If the light barrier is interrupted, the receiver evaluates this. Since light barriers operate with very low currents, they can only be used in conjunction with items that have the required receiving electronics (e.g., Busch timer 5963, electronic relay 5740, presence switch 5743, or control module 5745). Since the light barriers operate contactlessly, they offer maximum reliability and an almost unlimited service life.
