Model Details
Following the Volvo semi-trailer truck (318952) from NEWS I, another fully electric vehicle from the DHL fleet is now appearing in our program. The VW ID. Buzz features elaborate multi-color printing. The green leaf adorns vehicles with significantly reduced or zero-emission CO² emissions. DHL was founded in 1969, just a few months after Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. DHL is based on the initial letters of the surnames of its "founding fathers" Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom, and Robert Lynn. Initially, freight documents were personally transported by plane from San Francisco to Honolulu to begin customs clearance of ship freight at sea before its actual arrival, thus significantly reducing waiting times at the port. It wasn't until ten years later that the service was expanded to include parcel delivery.Caution!
