Model Details
Prototype: Class 798 railbus motor car and Class 998 railbus control car of the German Federal Railroad (DB). Original purple-red livery. Motor car road number 798 666-4, control car road number 998 660-5. Operating condition early 1970s.Model: Motor car with mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound and light functions. Controlled high-efficiency propulsion. 2 axles powered. Traction tires. Standard built-in interior lighting. Directional triple headlights and two red marker lights, conventionally operated together with the interior lighting, digitally switchable. Headlights on each side of the motor car can be switched off separately digitally. Control car with standard built-in interior lighting. Directional triple headlights with two red marker lights on the control end. Lighting with maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs. With energy storage. Current-carrying drawbar connection with guide mechanism between the vehicle units. Current-carrying drawbar and brake hoses are included. Both vehicle units, as well as the optionally available trailer car, offer unobstructed views from the driver's cabs and passenger compartment. Length over buffers of the two-part set: 32.2 cm.
The matching BR 798 railbus trailer car is available under item number 41981 to complement the two-part railbus set consisting of a motor car and a control car.
