A.C.M.E.
The Italian manufacturer ACME – Anonima Costruzioni Modellistiche Esatte has been among the most renowned producers of high-quality H0 scale model railways since its founding in 2001. Based in Milan, the company develops highly detailed miniature models based on European prototypes – with a particular focus on Italian locomotives, railcars, and passenger cars.
ACME is known for its exceptionally high manufacturing quality: The models are designed in Italy and then precisely manufactured in China, resulting in a perfect combination of technical accuracy and the finest detailing. Many models impress with their delicate engravings, realistic printing, and authentic paintwork, which particularly delight discerning model railroaders. The range encompasses a wide spectrum of European vehicle types: from electric locomotives of the FS, DB, or SNCB, to diesel models such as the MÁV M63, and famous multiple units like the ETR 250 'Arlecchino' or the Frecciarossa 1000. In addition, ACME produces numerous UIC coaches and international passenger train models that are rarely found in series production from other manufacturers. This gives the manufacturer a unique variety of models for collectors and layout builders. The brand has always stood for passion in model making. This is evident both in the research of historical prototypes and in the detail-oriented implementation of modern train compositions. Many models are also prepared for interior lighting or already technically optimized to ensure particularly smooth running and high operational reliability on model railway layouts. With its combination of innovative strength, meticulous prototype research, and impressive model fidelity, ACME has developed into a major player in the European model railway world over the past two decades.
