D&H
Doehler & Haass (D&H) is a German specialist for model railway digital technology and has been developing, producing, and distributing high-quality components for the digital control of model railway layouts since 1975. In the model railway scene, the name D&H stands for reliability, innovation, and excellent driving characteristics.
As early as 1982, TRIX presented the SelecTRIX system developed by Doehler & Haass, one of the first production-ready digital systems with integrated load control. This technology enabled, for the first time, particularly realistic and precise train operation. Just a few years later, D&H succeeded in producing extremely compact locomotive decoders using specially developed ASIC circuits – a milestone, especially for small gauges. Today, the D&H range includes a wide selection of locomotive decoders, sound decoders, function and accessory decoders. The decoders support all common standards such as DCC, Selectrix SX1 and SX2, Motorola (MM), Lenz ABC braking sections and RailCom. A special quality feature is the widely praised Super-Soft-Drive® (SSD) motor control, which ensures smooth running, clean slow-speed operation, and precise shunting. Another advantage for users is the free firmware update option: Many D&H decoders can be updated directly on the track without opening the vehicle. In addition, Doehler & Haass offers free sound projects from renowned sound designers – a service that ensures the decoders are future-proof in the long term. Almost all D&H products are manufactured in Germany and are not only used under their own brand name: numerous well-known model railway manufacturers also rely on decoder technology from Doehler & Haass as part of their OEM business. This makes D&H decoders among the most popular solutions for discerning model railway enthusiasts in gauges from N to 0.
