NMJ

NMJ
NMJ – Norsk Modelljernbane is one of the leading Scandinavian manufacturers of model railways and accessories, founded in 1979 and known today for its high level of detail and specialization in Norwegian and Scandinavian prototypes. The product range includes more than 600 faithfully reproduced models, including locomotives, passenger cars, freight cars, and accessories for H0 and 0 gauges. Many models appear in the high-quality series NMJ Topline, Topline+, and Superline, which are characterized by precise construction, fine printing, and – depending on the version – digital sound and light functions.

NMJ primarily produces models based on Scandinavian and especially Norwegian prototypes, including numerous iconic series such as NSB BM73, NSB El 3, El 11, El 14, or classic SJ carriages. Production also includes modern, resin-based, and laser-cut buildings, precisely modeled on Norwegian originals. To meet the high demand within Europe, NMJ has offices and warehouses in Norway, Sweden, and Germany, including a German location in Cologne. This enables fast and efficient supply to European customers and dealers. The company's own shops – including the large flagship store in Oslo with approximately 750 to 800 m² of retail space – offer a complete range, including both NMJ's own models and products from other brands. The company philosophy is based on the motto 'Passion for trains,' which is evident in every model. With a long history, high manufacturing quality, and a clear focus on realistic representation, NMJ is one of the most important manufacturers of premium Scandinavian model trains – ideal for collectors and model railroaders seeking distinctive Nordic prototypes.
