Model Details
100 Years of Class 44Prototype: Heavy freight steam locomotive Class 44, with standard 2´2´T34 oil tender of the German Federal Railroad (DB). Black/red livery. Cab with two side windows, standard Witte smoke deflectors, leading wheelset with spoked wheels, without smokebox central locking, with inductive train control (Indusi) magnets on both ends. Locomotive road number 44 1315. Restored locomotive at the Märklineum in its historical operating condition around 1963/64.
Model: Locomotive and tender predominantly made of die-cast metal. Coreless motor with flywheel installed in the boiler. 5 axles driven via coupling rods, traction tires. Built-in mfx-DCC digital decoder and sound generator. Locomotive and tender are close-coupled. Three-light headlights, engine and cab lighting made of warm white LEDs. Three-light headlights operate analogously. NEM coupler pocket at the tender end. Smokebox door opens. Piston rod protection tubes are included. Length over buffers 141 mm.
Detailed scale model for adult collectors. Handle with care. Not suitable for children under 14 years. It contains small parts which may pose a choking hazard, and some components have functional sharp points.
Only a toy transformer manufactured according to VDE 0570-2-7/DIN EN 61558-2-7 may be used as a power source to operate this product.
