Model Details
New for 2026: Printed version of the 5-car BR 442 electric multiple unit of the Rostock S-Bahn in Era VI. The BR 442 "Talent 2" – the prototype of the PIKO model – has been in service in regional transport operated by DB AG and private railway companies throughout Germany since 2011. At a scale of 1:87, the distinctive front sections, bogie covers, bodywork, and the elaborately designed roof are faithfully reproduced. The drive mechanism is positioned to allow for an almost unobstructed view through the car body while still ensuring good running characteristics. The multiple unit features a NEM 652 interface for easy installation of a digital decoder.Detailed, true-to-scale model for adult collectors. Handle with care. Not suitable for children under 14 years. It contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard, and some components have functional sharp points. Only a toy transformer manufactured according to VDE 0570-2-7/DIN EN 61558-2-7 may be used as a power source to operate this product.
