Model Details
New for 2026: True-to-prototype BR 221 (V 200.1) diesel locomotive for garden railways (G gauge), detailed and with sound. The PIKO BR 221 (V 200.1) diesel locomotive will be released in 2026 in a blue/beige livery, bringing one of the most famous German Federal Railway (DB) locomotives to the G gauge garden railway as a high-quality sound version. The model impresses with its accurate proportions, high reliability, and a range of functional details. The cab doors and windows can be opened, and the red/white headlights change direction analogously. The digital version already includes a PSD XP sound decoder, which allows the cab, engine room, and chassis lighting to be switched. Extensive sound functions and two pulsed smoke generators at the exhaust outlets and in the boiler area ensure impressive operational realism.
