Model Details
New for 2026: The large side panels and smooth roof of the Class 152 locomotive perfectly embody the locomotive design of the 1990s. The PIKO model, in 1:160 scale, excellently reproduces this overall appearance. Great emphasis was also placed on detail during the design: The uncluttered roof area is crowned by the two delicately crafted single-arm pantographs made of metal. The flush-mounted windows offer a clear view into the cab, while the fine, freestanding windshield wipers underscore the model's intricate detail. Separately attached handrails, the detailed bogies, and the prototypical printing perfectly complete the exterior impression. The Class 152 also impresses technically, boasting high tractive effort and smooth running. This makes it ideally suited for use with prototypical freight trains. The sound model comes equipped with a PIKO PSD XP sound decoder, which, in addition to the direction-dependent red and white headlight change, allows the cab lighting to be switched on. Furthermore, numerous locomotive-specific sounds ensure varied model railway operation.Detailed, true-to-scale model for adult collectors. Handle with care. Not suitable for children under 14 years. It contains small parts which may pose a choking hazard, and some components have functional sharp points.
Only a toy transformer manufactured according to VDE 0570-2-7/DIN EN 61558-2-7 may be used as a power source for operating this product.
