Model Details
Prototype: Class 80 tank locomotive of the German Federal Railroad (DB). Version with three boiler compartments, bell and turbo generator on the left, smokebox door without central locking mechanism with number plate in the center. Deep black paint scheme. Road number 80 016. Operating condition circa 1953.Model: With digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Controlled high-efficiency propulsion with flywheel in the boiler. Three axles driven. Traction tires. Locomotive largely made of metal. Smoke generator installed as standard. Directional two-light headlights and smoke generator contact operate conventionally; digitally switchable. Lighting with maintenance-free warm white LEDs. With energy storage. Telex couplers at the front and rear, each separately digitally switchable. Numerous separately applied grab irons and pipes. Buffer height according to NEM standards. Brake lines are included as separately attachable parts. Length over buffers 11.1 cm.
Matching freight cars related to the blast furnace theme can be found in the Märklin H0 range under article numbers 46014, 46047, 46221 and 48678, with a note regarding the required replacement wheelsets. This model is also available in an AC version in the Märklin H0 range under article number 37066.
