Prototype Information
This WIKING model is a statement of the 1950s: When the Menck excavator appeared on construction sites during the economic boom years, it was all about reconstruction and major building projects. WIKING has given this construction machine giant a contemporary look in its factory colors. The lettering shines in the typical zinc yellow of the time, and the bodywork is a convincing gentian blue – a color combination for the Menck bucket excavator could hardly look more contemporary. The functionality of the powerful upper structure is impressive. The WIKING model makers have been able to make the bucket extension mechanism, with its smooth-operating cable feed, fully functional in 1:87 scale. Thanks to the use of rubber cords, the dipper arms with their massive racks, just like the real thing, make the load-bearing capacity of the construction machine easily recognizable.

Upper and undercarriage components in gentian blue. The boom and dipper arms with excavator bucket are also in this color. Track rollers for excavator cable winch mechanism, gentian blue track wheels. Zinc-yellow "MENCK" lettering at the top and bottom of the rear, and the "Menck-Hambrock" company logo on the side, also zinc-yellow.Detailed scale model for adult collectors. Handle with care. Not suitable for children under 14 years. It contains small parts which may pose a choking hazard, and some components have functional sharp points.
