Prototype Information

WIKING itself provided the prototype – its story was written in the post-war years: When the Allies spearheaded the reconstruction of the country, they brought along American industry as economic aid. Among them was the US manufacturer Clark, which produced the urgently needed forklifts under license in the Ruhr region and successfully sold them with the support of a WIKING promotional model. Model maker Alfred Kedzierski created the Clark forklift in 1:25 scale at the beginning of the 1950s. Some 65 years later, this was transformed into a filigree forklift in 1:87 scale, reminiscent of the lifting equipment generation of the post-war years. Sometimes, little thought is needed, because WIKING itself built the most beautiful prototypes. Only WIKING can achieve such a rich brand history and continuity in model making. Now the model appears in 1:87 scale with the same perfection, after the designers scaled down the 1:25 scale model and meticulously incorporated all the functions. The chassis and superstructure appear remarkably compact in the 1:87 scale. This time, the forklift also features a tilting mast with movable forks. In addition, a separate seat and a new steering wheel with an attached console have been added.

Model Details

Body and chassis, mast, and forks are pale green. Steering wheel, seat, and tires are black. White decorative stripes run around the perimeter, and the Clark logo is white on the rear. White Clark lettering is on the sides of the mast. The rims are yellow.


Detailed, true-to-scale model for adult collectors. Handle with care. Not suitable for children under 14 years. It contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard, and some components have functional sharp points. Only a toy transformer manufactured according to VDE 0570-2-7/DIN EN 61558-2-7 may be used as a power source to operate this product.
