Prototype Information
It was once the first cab-over-engine tractor unit that Mercedes-Benz dedicated to forestry transport tasks. Until the arrival of the first Pullman generation, only conventionally cab-over-engine trucks with the three-pointed star above the radiator grille were used for transporting long timber. The drivers of the first Mercedes-Benz cab-over-engine generation nevertheless appreciated the precise steering and the increased maneuverability of the long timber rigs, which were usually equipped with extra-long loads. Now, the strikingly compact tractor unit with its large cab pulls the logs to their destination.
