For daily operations at the Dortmund location, it was indispensable – the heavy transport specialist Pieper knew how to use the Unimog U 1300 as a reliable workhorse, mostly in the freight yard. The Unimog was the first choice because it proved invaluable in shunting operations. Pieper has a long tradition in the freight forwarding industry, having been founded in Dortmund back in 1901. Up until the 1950s, Pieper grew with the diverse tasks that the reconstruction of the Ruhr region demanded of the freight forwarding company. This is how the company became one of the industry's leading players.

Cab with warning light base and flatbed in green-beige, interior in olive-brown. Chassis with driveshaft, rims and bumper element in fire-engine red. Bumper printed with white warning stripes. Black radiator grille with silvered Mercedes-Benz star and Unimog lettering. Hood with Pieper lettering. Side door printing with red Pieper and black lettering "Spedition" (transport company) on the cab sides.Detailed scale model for adult collectors. Handle with care. Not suitable for children under 14 years. It contains small parts which may pose a choking hazard, and some components have functional sharp points.
