WIKING 020002 - Ford 17M "Toense"

Model Details

When the 1972 Olympic Games immersed the Bavarian capital in sporting fever, the Munich branch of the heavy-duty experts at Toense wanted to be there. The aging Ford 17M was promptly painted yellow and given a striking and unmistakable design with the "Toense" letters on the body sides. For weeks, the Cologne sedan then hung in the air, visible from afar, on the Toense crane boom not far from the Munich-Nuremberg motorway. The branch employees quickly converted a lattice mast section into a platform and placed the "bathtub" on it. The 1972 Olympic logo could be seen underneath.
