BUSCH 31504 - Flat wagon with stakes Ks 446

DB, Era V. Length over buffers: 114 mm.
Operating number: 21 80 3300 800 - 2
With square buffers.

To replace older flat wagons that had reached the end of their service life on the DR, the DR purchased around 1,200 stake wagons in the dimensions of UIC standard wagons from UV Arad in Romania in 1969. Typical features of these vehicles include the reinforcement beam in the middle section of the wagon and the use of pivoting stakes instead of plug-in stakes. In 1994, DB-AG took over 1,146 Ks [3300] wagons and classified them as Ks 446 in its rolling stock. Many of these wagons are still in use today with the DB-AG and private railway companies.

The Busch model reproduces the original, in detailed versions, of the new flat car of the DR (Ks [3300], Era 4) and the DB (Ks 446, Era 5/6). As special features, the car models, like the full-size models, feature a real wooden floor and rotating stakes.
