Model Information
The nickname "bathtub" was by no means intended as a derogatory term for the Taunus P3 at the outset. Quite the opposite! In the post-war years, the bathtub represented an achievement in comfort and enjoyment, a symbol of growing prosperity in the economic miracle of West Germany. And indeed, the Taunus P3 had something of a comfortable sedan chair about it, allowing its occupants to glide over the newly paved asphalt roads. The top-of-the-line model from Ford in Cologne, which WIKING used as its model, not only appeared more functional but was also significantly more economical and practical than its predecessors. The redesigned body shape with considerably more organic curves also resulted in a 20% reduction in fuel consumption.

The body is light green with a white roof and enhanced with a clear coat finish. The interior, including the seats and steering wheel, is gray. The chassis and bumpers are painted chrome silver, the radiator grille and headlights are silver, and the taillights are printed in red. Side door handles with silvered "Taunus 17M" lettering. Hood and tailgate with silver "Taunus" and "17M" lettering. Silver rims. Tires printed with whitewall rings. Front turn signals hand-painted orange.Detailed scale model for adult collectors. Handle with care. Not suitable for children under 14 years. It contains small parts which may present a choking hazard, and some components have functional sharp points.
