In November 1984, the time had come: Daimler-Benz presented its new upper-midsize sedan. It became the successor to the 123 series and was still considered the "midsize Mercedes class." For the 124 series, Daimler-Benz used key elements of the W 201, but this did not alter its successful independence from then on. WIKING miniaturized the Mercedes-Benz early on in its first E-Class version, providing a cutting-edge impetus to the passenger car range. Four decades later, the 260 E is considered a classic, maintaining its distinctive profile, particularly thanks to its then-typical color scheme for the body and plastic sills, along with a modified interior.Technical Details
