The 2024 issue of the WIKING magazine will be even more comprehensive than before! It will also have a stronger chronicle character. With its February delivery to retailers, the freshly printed WIKING magazine, combined with the WIKING catalog, will strengthen its position as a complete collection in printed form, thus providing a comprehensive compendium of the brand's annual activities in the wide world of small models. Only the annual catalog will be available for download online as an e-paper as usual. In the 76th year of the WIKING transport models' existence, a lot is being done – brand enthusiasts can look forward to a new vitality in model-making activities! It's no wonder, then, that the 2024 WIKING magazine features a refreshed design – Germany's most traditional H0 car model brand once again has a lot to report on. After all, this is about 75 years of transport models, because with the monetary union in 1948, a new era began at WIKING. Whether the business idea would become a model-making dream or an economic flop, no one could have predicted at the time – these were years of new beginnings and reconstruction. In any case, courage and a healthy dose of faith in God were required when Fritz Peltzer launched his transport model program in 1948. Accordingly, the Sideloader, originally created only as a prototype by master model maker Alfred Kedzierski, was presented in production-ready form in the 75th anniversary year, just like new tarpaulins for the Hanomag Kurier and the VW T2. The 2024 WIKING magazine tells the story of the Vidal tipper trailer combination with the Büssing 8000 and its ancestors. There is also a look back at last year's premium meeting of WIKING collectors in Obertrubach, Franconia. The model chronology focuses on a true collector favorite: The Ackermann furniture case has a decades-long tradition, as it represented the unusual models in the WIKING program right at the beginning of the glass-covered era.
