Prototype Information
Although the Hamburg Tempo factory built hundreds of its sought-after vans every week, the Opel Blitz had to handle the factory transport. It served as a delivery vehicle for procuring tools and spare parts. Thus, the post-war van from Rüsselsheim fulfilled its purpose. The Blitz cab-over-engine truck was considered an all-purpose vehicle not only during the war years but also afterward. Without the wartime Opel Blitz, post-war reconstruction would have been much more arduous. The flatbed truck was considered reliable, especially since spare parts were still readily available at the time.
Model Details
Cab with rims, chassis with driveshaft and rear fenders in black-gray. Flatbed in basalt gray. Radiator grille with silvered Blitz logo. Front grille bars in black. Taillights printed in carmine red on the rear. Headlights hand-silvered. Door and rear of the truck bed printed with pearly white lettering "Tempo Werk".Detailed scale model for adult collectors. Handle with care. Not suitable for children under 14 years. It contains small parts which may pose a choking hazard, and some components have functional sharp points.
