BUSCH 210010018 - MH: E-cart Balkancar with wood load
The E-cart/Balkancar, manufactured in Bulgaria in the 1960s and 1970s, is an electric cart that was exported to many countries. It was powered by a large lead-acid battery located under the loading area. One charge usually lasted the entire day. It was then recharged overnight. The electric carts are very robust and could remain in use for up to 30 years; a good design that is still being built today. This one was used in a large carpentry shop, transporting a stack of wood from the warehouse to the factory for further processing.
