WIKING
Quality and Tradition – WIKING's Trademark
Over decades, WIKING has developed a distinctive design language:
- Attention to detail & Precision: Fine engravings, realistic proportions, and accurate printing. Authentic models: Cars, trucks, buses, agricultural vehicles, emergency vehicles, and classics of German automotive history. Collector's value: Many models are considered iconic miniatures and reflect the development of German road transport—from early wire-axle vehicles to modern high-detail models. Since 1984, WIKING has been part of the Sieper Group (SIKU) and is continuously being further developed there. Design, mold making, and quality control remain in Germany, which continues to distinguish the brand as 'Made in Europe.' WIKING offers a diverse range: H0 model cars: classics, commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, fire engines & police cars. N gauge (1:160): fine miniatures for compact layouts. 1:32 & 1:43: High-quality large-scale models, often for collectors or as special editions. New releases every two months: Modern tractors, historic trucks, reissues of rare classics, and current emergency vehicles regularly reach retailers. WIKING thus combines tradition, technical precision, and continuous model development – the brand remains an integral part of the collector and model railway scene.
WIKING 001103 - Jeep "W & W Holzbau"Model DetailsThe originals once found their way from US military stocks to a second, then civilian use – whether in forestry or in trades. The Jeep now complements the W&W Holzbau series and is also equipped with a cable winch. WIKING founder Friedrich Peltzer decided early on to miniaturize a Jeep – later based on the Kaiser Jeep CJ5 with its military version, the M38-A1. The most important features were rounded front fenders, a hood with a raised contour in the center, and a split windshield with top-mounted wiper arms. For many years, it was an indispensable part of the WIKING range – now there's a reunion with the handcrafted version.Technical DetailsThe upper body and fuel can are pine green, the chassis with tow hook and seats are concrete gray. The cable winch has a silver reel holder and black cable pulley. The headlights are silver-plated by hand. The taillights are printed red. The hubcaps are concrete gray. Side hood print with silver lettering "W&W Holzbau."Caution! Not suitable for children under 14 years. Our products are not toys. They are intended for model builders and collectors. WIKING 003514 - VW New Beetle "Safari"Model DetailsThis New Beetle is an eye-catcher – both in the original and as a WIKING model. Its owner treated the Beetle descendant to a safari look, which traditional model makers have now emulated in light of the model's popularity. The curves resemble leopard skin, and the predator's piercing gaze can also be seen on the flanks. All in all, one of the most unusual New Beetles, the original of which, built in 1998, was already on display at the popular Beetle Sunshine Tour, the world's largest gathering of New Beetle fans.Technical DetailsYellow body, black chassis, black interior with dashboard and steering wheel. Transparent headlights and indicators, red-transparent taillights. Black-printed window surrounds. Silver-painted six-star "Monte Carlo" rims. Front and rear with black and silver VW logo. WIKING 004047 - Police - VW 181Model InformationIn the post-war decades, almost all vehicles from the Wolfsburg-based automaker were standard issue for state police forces. Even the legendary VW 181, the former Bundeswehr Kübelwagen (military utility vehicle), found its way into police fleets in many German states. This was especially true where operational areas required a certain degree of off-road capability, meaning the robust, though not all-wheel-drive, Kübelwagen was often in service well into the 1990s. WIKING miniaturized the VW 181 in the typical two-tone livery of that era, which is particularly striking due to the separately designed doors in the side view. When the VW 181 was presented at the 1969 IAA (International Motor Show), its automotive purpose was initially purely military. After European countries had planned to jointly develop a Jeep equivalent in the 1960s, but this project failed, and then the DKW Munga was also discontinued, the Bundeswehr came under pressure. VW acted and placed the Type 181 on a platform chassis; the VW Beetle contributed the boxer engine.Model Details Body and rims white, hubcaps silver, chassis with steering wheel and interior black. Open soft top light gray. Mint green printed areas with white police lettering. Taillights carmine red, headlights hand-colored silver. White light bar on the driver's side with blue transparent bulb. Windscreen frames printed mint green, black windscreen wipers and rearview mirrors.Detailed scale model for adult collectors. WIKING 007147 - Opel Rekord '60 Caravan "DB"Model DetailsThe Opel Caravan was ready whenever technical assistance was needed on the railway embankment – back then, the signaling department represented the reliability and technical expertise of the former German Federal Railway. The smooth functioning of signals is a high priority for the railway, both yesterday and today. In the post-war decades, it was the signaling department whose gray service cars, bearing the department's lettering directly beneath the golden DB logo, were dispatched to duty. Today, the former signaling masters can be found in signaling and safety technology. The Opel Rekord '60 Caravan performed its official service for many years on behalf of the DB. The gray paint made it unmistakably clear that the vehicle was part of the rolling railway fleet on the road.Technical DetailsBody in tent gray, windows tinted topaz. The radiator grille bars with the Opel logo at the front, as well as the side door handles and trim strips, as well as the "Olympia" lettering, are silver-plated. The indicator lights are printed with orange. The front hood features silver Opel lettering, the rear features silver "1700" lettering and a trunk handle. Silver-plated rims. The headlights are hand-painted silver, and the four rear taillights are painted carmine red. WIKING 009504 - Motorboat on trailerPrototype InformationWIKING has transformed the legendary motorboat on its transport trailer into a real eye-catcher with its latest model update. The finely detailed hull and deck make it possible – all in classic Riva style. The motorboat with its powerful outboard motor features a white hull and an elegantly printed deck. Subtly accentuated silver details complete the look. This large motorboat on its trailer was once highly sought after by collectors because it added variety to WIKING's toy collections back in 1963 – and remained so until 1988. Moreover, this outboard-powered sports boat truly reflects the spirit of the then-emerging leisure society. Loaded onto its trailer, the motorboat served as a popular alternative to caravans and car trailers in WIKING's vast world of miniatures.Model Details Deck and hull white, baseboard brown. Steering wheel pearl white, outboard motor pale brown. Brown deck printing and matching side panel design. Black-gray boat trailer with silver bracket. Rims also silver. WIKING 015304 - MB 280 SE Cabrio - cremebeigePrototype InformationThe Mercedes-Benz 280 SE is a prime example of the keen eye for detail of WIKING's head, Fritz Peltzer. In the 1960s, he not only selected everyday vehicles for his model range but also opted for dream cars in his mold design. The Mercedes-Benz 280 SE in its convertible version undoubtedly belonged to this category. The elegant body lines, combined with the open and seemingly spacious interior, speak volumes about what German and international car enthusiasts considered comfort six decades ago. WIKING has given the convertible a refined, true-to-life chrome finish in this cream-beige reissue, just as it characterized this flagship car at the time. The 280 SE was built from 1967 to 1971 – many film stars and TV personalities ordered it as a symbol of status and automotive enjoyment.Model DetailsCream beige body with clear lacquer finish. Transparent windshield. Black interior and open convertible top, pearl white steering wheel. Chrome silver finish on the chassis and radiator grille. WIKING 020002 - Ford 17M "Toense"Model DetailsWhen the 1972 Olympic Games immersed the Bavarian capital in sporting fever, the Munich branch of the heavy-duty experts at Toense wanted to be there. The aging Ford 17M was promptly painted yellow and given a striking and unmistakable design with the "Toense" letters on the body sides. For weeks, the Cologne sedan then hung in the air, visible from afar, on the Toense crane boom not far from the Munich-Nuremberg motorway. The branch employees quickly converted a lattice mast section into a platform and placed the "bathtub" on it. The 1972 Olympic logo could be seen underneath.Technical DetailsBody and rims zinc yellow, chassis silver. Side door handles, headlights, and radiator grille silver, as well as the hood and tailgate printed with the "Taunus" and "17M" lettering. Hubcap printed in silver. WIKING 022005 - MB 180 "Aug. Alborn"Model DetailsAugust Alborn's Dortmund heavy-haulage specialists had their hands full delivering their mammoth loads safely to their destination in the region's industrial center. With the Mercedes-Benz 180, which was quickly upgraded with a warning sign on the roof, a practical escort vehicle was provided in view of the necessary road safety – paving the way for a clear roadway. With the 180 sedan, Mercedes-Benz once ushered in a new era of the pontoon body. Unlike its predecessors, the body was visually formed "from a single piece."Technical DetailsBody pine green, chassis and radiator grille aluminum silver. Interior and steering wheel black. WIKING 022406 - Renault R4 "Parisienne"Model DetailsThe French demonstrated style – the R4 in the elegant Parisienne version made it possible. This noble R4 with its elegant, contrasting flanks was intended to be the obvious result of a new target group approach. In 1963, Renault decision-makers finally wanted to get more women behind the wheel of the R4 – the redesigned haute couture model with a special pattern could then be tested by interested female customers for 48 hours. The haute couture cars eventually evolved into the Parisienne models. This model in particular reveals a lot about the French motorists' understanding of cars. In Germany, things were much more pragmatic, as the "R4" was once one of the popular, maneuverable and cost-effective small cars produced abroad – a typical family car, in other words. Initially a small, rather inconspicuous grille, the French compact car with its practical tailgate quickly became a real alternative to Beetles and the like during production, an everyday utility car without any sentimentality.Technical DetailsDark green body, light ivory sides with a basket weave pattern, ochre brown interior with a black steering wheel. Black chassis, transparent headlights, red-transparent taillights. Silver rims. Silver grille with frame and logo. Black window surrounds, orange-printed turn signals, silver door handles, fuel cap and "Parisienne" lettering, and black "4 Parisienne" lettering on the rear.Caution! Not suitable for children under 14 years. Our products are not toys. WIKING 024301 - Cooper racing car - black/blueModel InformationIt was the idea of WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer in the 1960s to follow the trend of Formula 1 and Formula 2 racing series. The Cooper T45, built in 1958 by the Cooper Car Company in both Formula 2 and Formula 1 versions, was intended to make history as a model. At WIKING, however, it found many young enthusiasts. Cooper once built 24 Formula 2 cars of the T45 type. At the same time, the compact racing cars were used in their own factory team. In 1959, Jack Brabham even fielded a pair of T45s in Formula 2. Rob Walker and the British Racing Partnership also wanted to compete in the racing series and equipped their T45s with Borgward engines featuring Bosch fuel injection. Stirling Moss even won the French Formula 2 Championship with the Rob Walker T45. Furthermore, the T45 competed in Formula 1 on many other racetracks.Model DetailsUpper and lower body black-blue, white racing driver figure with colored face. Silvered windshield and fuel filler cap, black starting number "20" on a white background with a stripe.Detailed scale model for adult collectors. Handle with care. WIKING 026505 - Panel van (MB L 319) "Clark"Model DetailsWhat an original photo from the excellent design documents in the WIKING archives reveals! While reviewing the prototype documents for the historic Clark forklift, an image of the service vehicle emerged alongside an authentic red paint sheet: The Mercedes-Benz L 319 had become a favorite of the Clark licensee in the Ruhr region and was used for a variety of tasks by Ruhr Intrans. From the region, the Clark transporter traveled throughout Germany to keep the forklift fleet running at the freight forwarding yards. WIKING's history is particularly special when it comes to Clark. Master model maker Alfred Kedzierski created the 1:25 Clark forklift right at the beginning of the 1950s. A good 65 years later, this resulted in a delicate 1:87 forklift, reminiscent of the lifting equipment generation of the post-war years. The trio is now complete: WIKING offers the Mercedes-Benz Pullman with a delivery low-loader and now also the matching service vehicle to complement the Clark forklift. This trio is full of model-making history!Technical DetailsCoral red body, anthracite gray interior with steering wheel. White chassis with propeller shaft, black rims. Black radiator grille print with silver-plated trim and Mercedes-Benz star. All-round trim. White door print with Ruhr-Intrans logo and lettering. WIKING 031406 - VW T2 Double Cab "Bosch"Model Details13 years after the VW T1, WIKING is releasing a second generation of the beautiful Bosch Doka: With its new tarpaulin, the T2 Doka from the Swabian automotive supplier celebrates the entire art of printing that transforms the original into a contemporary showcase. Bosch advertising experts recognized the basic color harmony early on when delicate red construction bands were added to the bright yellow base paint. The T2 achieves this inimitable eye-catching effect both through the bumpers and the attractively contrasting glazing area, which continues over the edge of the bed. While the tarpaulin flanks, with their authentic folds, advertise the legendary spark plugs, the rear doors of the Doka point to Bosch's second core competency, car batteries. After 1967, the prototype of the double cab was built by VW in Hanover-Stöcken – a success story in itself. Over the decades, WIKING has documented the long history of VW buses and transporters in 1:87 scale with more dedication than any other car model brand. And with every miniature, the model-making story continues.Technical DetailsTraffic red upper body section with traffic yellow roof, lower body section in traffic yellow. Chassis in black. WIKING 045001 - Box truck (MAN) "Intercity"Model DetailsThis has been achieved – the WIKING advertising world lives on! WIKING is turning back the model-making wheel of its rich model chronology and is letting the MAN F7 celebrate its modern classic debut as a box truck in a brand-historical design. It is a reminder of the once creative power of WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer – the letters of "Intercity" send their regards. WIKING connoisseurs will, of course, immediately recognize that this is a beautiful counterpart to the previously presented chubby-cheeked semitrailer truck – also in the "Intercity" design.Technical DetailsCab and box body in cream beige, radiator grille in crimson red, interior in basalt gray. WIKING 045602 - Flatbed truck (MAN) "Schenker"Model detailsNew order for the Nuremberg-based Schenker specialists of the air freight service provider Jet-Cargo: The MAN forward-control generation is now being introduced as a three-axle model. In Schenker colors, the F7/F8 series truck with its single cab provides a typically contemporary, modern look. To ensure that the series, launched in 1967, also appears contemporary, the traditional model makers have provided the radiator grille from that era – the new modern truck bears the letters "MAN Diesel" on its front, with only the Büssing lion recalling the previous, still legible merger of the two brands. In those years, the Schenker branches had prepared themselves for the individual requirements of their customers – air freight services were increasingly in demand in the early 1970s.Technical DetailsTowing vehicle with cab and flatbed in reseda green, interior in basalt gray. Chassis with cardan shaft, rims, and fenders in reseda green. Cab on both sides with Schenker logo in sulfur yellow and black. Cab front with red radiator grille. Frame trim, as well as the MAN Diesel lettering and the Büssing logo, are printed in silver. WIKING 050208 - Low-loader trailer "Rosenkranz"Model DetailsThis themed series fascinates WIKNG brand enthusiasts for good reason: 14 models, based on the model of Paul Rosenkranz, a freight forwarding, heavy transport, and mobile crane company once known throughout Europe, make up a remarkable collection. Now, with the addition of a low-loader trailer, another transport specialist has been added, and collectors won't have to search long for a tractor unit. In the 1960s and 1970s, the name Paul Rosenkranz irrefutably stood for expertise in heavy transport – whether by crane or on the road. The company developed from a small coal merchant in Witten an der Ruhr and provided a wide variety of transport vehicles for different purposes.Technical DetailsChassis, front plate, turntable, drawbar, and rear fenders in carmine red. WIKING 058048 - Car transporter (MB) "Frikus"Model DetailsThe NG (New Generation) from Mercedes-Benz represents the beginning of a new body line – the cubic generation was a thing of the past in the 1970s. The Frikus car haulage company also used this Mercedes-Benz with the movable platforms on the towing vehicle and trailer to transport new vehicles from the manufacturer to the dealership on two levels. The striking corporate orange was interrupted by the green corporate color in a lower third look, creating a distinct corporate design. WIKING revitalized the shapes, which once again recall the classic car years of the 1970s.Technical DetailsThe cab and chassis with cardan shaft, lower and upper platform with ramp and rims are pure orange. The cab features black-printed window surrounds, windshield wipers, grab handles, and door handles. A yellow-green lower third on the cab front and sides features white Frikus lettering. Radiator grille with silver-printed Mercedes-Benz star and red-printed taillights. Platform with yellow-green decorative bar. Trailer with pure orange platforms, ramp, and rims. WIKING 064505 - Rubble wagon (MB) "Edelhoff"Model detailsNow WIKING is turning the 1990s duo into an Edelhoff trio: The road sweeper and the compactor garbage truck with NG cab are now joined by a Mercedes-Benz of the cubic generation with a debris hopper. The family business from Iserlohn grew significantly in the 1970s and was responsible for waste disposal for many municipalities and industrial companies. From the very beginning, Edelhoff was committed to Mercedes-Benz before the company was acquired by the electricity supplier VEW in 1993. The Federal Cartel Office had approved the takeover of the waste disposal company Edelhoff by Vereinigte Elektrizitätswerke Westfalen (VEW) after a wave of consolidation had taken hold in the waste disposal industry. The Edelhoff colors eventually disappeared when VEW was acquired by RWE.Technical DetailsTwo-piece driver's cab and radiator grille, as well as the dump body with frame and tipping hook, as well as the flatbed insert and dump body cover, are signal white. The chassis with trailer coupling and cardan shaft, as well as the rims, are also signal white. The radiator grille has a light blue branded lettering and white Edelhoff lettering. WIKING 065111 - Wheel loader (Hanomag) - azure bluePrototype InformationThis is how the agile Hanomag wheel loader became a familiar sight on hundreds of construction sites in the 1960s. Back then, wheel loader operators still worked outdoors for several years before legal regulations mandated rollover protection, which often proved lifesaving. The Hanomag B11 wheel loader has been miniaturized to scale, retaining the full mobility of the front lift and bucket. The Hanomag B11 is considered the larger sibling of the B8 and once boasted a powerful 6-cylinder engine producing 110 hp. WIKING 066702 - Sideloader "DB"Model detailsContainer loading can be so easy: The sideloader makes it possible, effortlessly lifting the 40' containers onto its forks. This is one of the reasons why WIKING is presenting the second example from new molds in the matching DB design. WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer was already fascinated by the container theme back in the 1960s, when it was just beginning to prosper in the North Sea ports. Back then, no one could have imagined how rapidly demand for the standardized logistics boxes would grow. Peltzer, in any case, was correct in his assessment. Numerous semitrailer trailers appeared in 1:87 scale within a short period of time, and the original model of the sideloader was also created during this time. The Lancer Boss Sideloader provided the model for the 87-fold reduction in size. At the time, the original belonged to the transport environment of long-haul logistics and was used for loading containers, pipes, and lumber. Above all, the lateral alignment of the lifting mast and forks made the original model so appealing to the WIKING boss back then, and even spectacular in the 1:87 scale. Around five decades passed before molds were actually built in WIKING's anniversary year – in retrospect, a perfect occasion. Naturally, the chassis and glazed cabin are designed true to the original. The entire lifting hydraulics can be replicated, just like on the sideloader of the time. This results in new scenic designs that provide new scale inspiration for WIKING fans and diorama builders alike.Technical DetailsDriver's cab with vehicle underbody, base frame, lift frame, and fork in pebble gray; vehicle underbody with fenders and exhaust in black; interior with steering wheel and rims in black. WIKING 068002 - Mobile crane (Demag) "Bölling"Model DetailsThe former Bölling fleet is a dream for WIKING fans: Several models have already been miniaturized as classics. The Demag V70 mobile crane was once maneuverable on the Bölling farm and on the large construction sites that had to be serviced. With its modest 48 hp, it was still able to lift loads of up to seven tons.Technical DetailsBody, base plate, axle mount, as well as the boom with crane arm and rotating base with piston holder and cylinder are daffodil yellow. Rims are carmine red. Side door printing with red and white Bölling lettering. The hood is printed with Demag lettering and the radiator grille is black and silver. The chassis is decorated all around with red and white warning hatching. The counterweight on the crane superstructure also has red and white warning hatching. WIKING 073003 - Coach (Setra S8) "Hanseat"Model DetailsThe flanks are colored with a sweeping red arch, complemented by fine ornamentation. And all this in the name of "Hanseat." Indeed, it was by no means unusual in the post-war years for buses to be given something of a personal name. The Setra S8, in particular, conveys something of the new feel-good culture of the post-war decade. The corresponding flair of the two-tone design was de rigueur for any luxurious appearance in the 1950s – with a panoramic roof, of course! WIKING has thus presented the S8 from revitalized forms with a fine finish. The transparent roof was printed true to the original. Thanks to the prototypically painted roof and window struts, a maximum degree of authenticity is achieved. The S8 has an outstanding history within bus development: Immediately after the war, Otto Kässbohrer began the ambitious design project for the first bus with a self-supporting body. The brand name abbreviated the design principle – Setra was to pursue a successful path as a brand. And indeed, following the internal presentation of the Setra S8 with its distinctive grid radiator grille, production had already begun in 1952. It wasn't long before Kässbohrer contacted WIKING. Friedrich Peltzer set the facts and had the S8 miniaturized as commissioned – following the same design principle as the Büssing Trambus. With a two-part body, the upper section fully transparent – both meaningful and effective.Technical detailsLower section ivory beige, driver's seat and interior carmine red. Steering wheel inserted light ivory. Chassis silver. Roof rack aluminum silver. Side flanks printed red with "Hanseat" lettering. Decorative strips on the radiator grille, bumper, side panels, and rear hood are silver. Roof surface and window rails are ivory beige.Caution! Not suitable for children under 14 years. Our products are not toys. They are intended for model builders and collectors. WIKING 078007 - Tank trailer (MAN) "Aurepa"Model DetailsThe original MAN Hauber truck with the Aurepa tank trailer once undertook day trips. Aurepa in Mannheim-Neckarau once supplied the prototype for this semitrailer. The updated version shows the vehicle in its contemporary advertising. Especially in the 1970s and 1980s, it was primarily mineral oil transport for industrial customers that brought the Aurepa prototype into the spotlight.Technical DetailsTractor unit with cab in rapeseed yellow, interior in black-gray. Chassis, drive shaft, fenders, and rims in brown. Trailer with silver-gray tank tank, trailer chassis and tank catwalk as well as ladder in rapeseed yellow, trailer fenders and rims in brown. WIKING 078103 - Tank truck (MB) "Gasolin"Model DetailsThe classic tanker had two axles, was maneuverable, and capable of refilling at the gas station at any time. In the early years of the economic miracle, the Mercedes-Benz long-hood truck drove off to the Gasolin tank depots to ensure customer deliveries. Who would have thought that this "Gasolin" logo would once be emblazoned on 3,500 gas stations in western Germany? Given the dense network of gas pumps at the time, tankers were commonplace everywhere. The fact that the red and white brand colors of "Gasolin" later fell victim to market concentration in the petroleum industry makes the history of gas station history, to which WIKING repeatedly devotes itself, all the more remarkable.Technical DetailsDriver's cab, chassis with cardan shaft, radiator grille, and rims in red. Anthracite gray interior. Tank body with floor plate in white. The side "Gasolin" logo on the cab doors is white, red, and black. The body features red and black "Gasolin" lettering. The rear features a three-color "Gasolin" logo. The rear indicators are orange and the taillights are carmine red. The rear bumper is printed in red. The headlights are hand-silvered.Caution!Not suitable for children under 14 years. Our products are not toys. They are intended for model builders and collectors.
