Model Details
New for 2026: The Class 1067 locomotives were true rarities for the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) between 1961 and 1994. Only one prototype and four other locomotives were ever built. They featured a unique technical characteristic: an electro-hydraulic drive. Built by Jenbacher Werke, these centrally cab electric locomotives were used for shunting and could be found in fir green or blood orange liveries. The drive concept, heavily based on diesel locomotives, proved prone to defects and damage, leading to the discontinuation of production and the decommissioning of locomotive 1067.03, the last active example, on October 1, 1994. Today, two of these locomotives can still be admired at the Knittelfeld and Ampflwang railway museums.
