Model Details
New for 2026: Elegance and power at high speed – the E 19 series. For the revolution of rail transport on the German Reichsbahn at the end of the 1930s, the E 19 series was one of the fastest and most elegant electric locomotives of its time. Designed for use on the fully electrified Berlin – Halle (Saale) – Munich line, it was intended to reach a top speed of 180 km/h, with reserves for over 200 km/h. It was also designed to maintain a speed of 60 km/h on the steep inclines of the Franconian Forest. With the retirement of the last locomotive, E 19 002, in 1978, its active service ended. Today, E 19 01 is preserved as an impressive testament to German electric locomotive history. Version with the typical Era IV stalk lamps and delicate SBS 39/54 pantographs.
