WIKING 045602 - Flatbed truck (MAN) "Schenker"Model detailsNew order for the Nuremberg-based Schenker specialists of the air freight service provider Jet-Cargo: The MAN forward-control generation is now being introduced as a three-axle model. In Schenker colors, the F7/F8 series truck with its single cab provides a typically contemporary, modern look. To ensure that the series, launched in 1967, also appears contemporary, the traditional model makers have provided the radiator grille from that era – the new modern truck bears the letters "MAN Diesel" on its front, with only the Büssing lion recalling the previous, still legible merger of the two brands. In those years, the Schenker branches had prepared themselves for the individual requirements of their customers – air freight services were increasingly in demand in the early 1970s.Technical DetailsTowing vehicle with cab and flatbed in reseda green, interior in basalt gray. Chassis with cardan shaft, rims, and fenders in reseda green. Cab on both sides with Schenker logo in sulfur yellow and black. Cab front with red radiator grille. Frame trim, as well as the MAN Diesel lettering and the Büssing logo, are printed in silver. "Schenker Jet Cargo Nürnberg" lettering on the side of the flatbed is printed in black on a yellow background. WIKING 050208 - Low-loader trailer "Rosenkranz"Model DetailsThis themed series fascinates WIKNG brand enthusiasts for good reason: 14 models, based on the model of Paul Rosenkranz, a freight forwarding, heavy transport, and mobile crane company once known throughout Europe, make up a remarkable collection. Now, with the addition of a low-loader trailer, another transport specialist has been added, and collectors won't have to search long for a tractor unit. In the 1960s and 1970s, the name Paul Rosenkranz irrefutably stood for expertise in heavy transport – whether by crane or on the road. The company developed from a small coal merchant in Witten an der Ruhr and provided a wide variety of transport vehicles for different purposes.Technical DetailsChassis, front plate, turntable, drawbar, and rear fenders in carmine red. Insert plate in brown-beige with wood grain. Trilex rims also in carmine red. Taillights and reflectors printed in brown-red on the rear. WIKING 088246 - Tank trailer (MAN) "Thyssen"Model detailsThis is what it really looked like: WIKING is including the original Thyssen tanker in its range, just as it was delivered in Wuppertal by Blumhardt-Fahrzeugbau for its Duisburg clients. Just as Thyssen'sche Gas- und Wasserwerke GmbH once served as the primary supplier in Duisburg and the surrounding area, Thyssen'sche Energie- und Wirtschafts GmbH provided heating oil and, in cooperation with Walsum-Kohle, supplied households with fuel and building materials. The traditional model maker WIKING, which once built the legendary "Thysssen Tanker" in small batches but never delivered it in large series, is now producing the MAN Hauber based on a contemporary model. It commemorates the beginning of change in the region, as more and more households switched from coal-fired to oil-fired heating – Thyssen saw itself as obligated to ensure the supply of its own workforce.Technical DetailsDriver's cab, chassis, propeller shaft, and rear fenders in May green. Interior with steering wheel in black and gray. Fifth wheel in silver gray, rims in carmine red. Radiator grille with MAN Diesel logo and silver-plated trim strips. Hood and door handles in silver print. Tank trailer with chassis and fenders in May green. Rims in carmine red. VIKING 084008 - Pritschen-Lkw (Opel Blitz) "Tempo Werk"Prototype InformationAlthough the Hamburg Tempo factory built hundreds of its sought-after vans every week, the Opel Blitz had to handle the factory transport. It served as a delivery vehicle for procuring tools and spare parts. Thus, the post-war van from Rüsselsheim fulfilled its purpose. The Blitz cab-over-engine truck was considered an all-purpose vehicle not only during the war years but also afterward. Without the wartime Opel Blitz, post-war reconstruction would have been much more arduous. The flatbed truck was considered reliable, especially since spare parts were still readily available at the time.Model DetailsCab with rims, chassis with driveshaft and rear fenders in black-gray. Flatbed in basalt gray. Radiator grille with silvered Blitz logo. Front grille bars in black. Taillights printed in carmine red on the rear. Headlights hand-silvered. Door and rear of the truck bed printed with pearly white lettering "Tempo Werk".Detailed scale model for adult collectors. Handle with care. Not suitable for children under 14 years. WIKING 034001 - Flatbed truck (Hanomag Kurier) "Freyaldenhoven"Prototype InformationFreyaldenhoven would not have become such a large and renowned freight forwarder in the post-war years if it hadn't also possessed expertise in distribution transport. The Hanomag Kurier was the practical, high-speed truck that distributed the delivery of freight brought from various parts of Germany throughout the region. As "Internationaler Kraftverkehr Freyaldenhoven" (Freyaldenhoven International Transport), the full-size models, which WIKING has already miniaturized, once ensured the handling of long distances; now a suitable distribution truck has been added to the fleet. The result is another beautiful classic model based on a vehicle from the Freyaldenhoven freight forwarding company's fleet, a company that not only earned laurels in domestic transport but also distinguished itself with unusual transport operations.Model DetailsCab and flatbed in black-blue, interior with steering wheel in basalt gray. Dark agate gray chassis. Rims pastel blue, tarpaulin azure blue. Flatbed with "Freyaldenhoven" lettering. Radiator grille iron gray, "Kurier" lettering and trim silvered. WIKING 035404 - Frozen truck (Opel Blitz) "Sea Fish"Model detailsReunions are always a joy – especially at WIKING! The Opel Blitz is celebrating its premiere as a refrigerated van with a sea fish design. WIKING enthusiasts are aware of the long tradition of this self-promotion, which collectors have encountered quite frequently recently and thus find favor with. With the advertisement for sea fish, the traditional model makers are recalling a WIKING advertisement that was popular five decades ago and was already part of the early days of the WIKING transport model range. The fact that the Opel Blitz, as a refrigerated van, bears the distinctive lettering and memorable logo, gives the van its typical WIKING aura. This time, the sales crates for fresh sea fish are included – and, of course, also printed with the logo! The refrigerated box body is one of the special WIKING classics that has rarely been used to date. Nevertheless, at the time of its introduction, it was a welcome niche, with which WIKING demonstrated the courage to fill gaps and thus once again the breadth of its product range.Technical DetailsDriver's cab with refrigerator body and removable roof in sky blue. Chassis and rims in sapphire blue. Windows tinted topaz. Front Opel lettering, logo, and headlights silvered. Bridge in sapphire blue, indicators printed in traffic orange. Box body with white Seefische lettering and logo. Two white stacking boxes with the Seefische logo printed in sapphire blue are located in the box body.Caution! Not suitable for children under 14 years. Our products are not toys. WIKING 037110 - Unimog U 406 with snow plow "PTT"Model DetailsThe traditional model makers at WIKING created model-making monuments for the Swiss Post PTT back in the 1960s. Recently, the postal Alpine theme has been revitalized with long-serving service vehicles, thus continually gaining new and attractive impetus. This time, the popular Unimog 406 is scoring points with collectors because it is joining the range in the typical Swiss Post livery. Its loading area features full hatch. The snow drift contrasts with it in a warning orange. This gives the PTT theme cycle a vehicle specialist that knows how to fill another gap. The Unimog U 406 – introduced by WIKING in 1967 – once again miniaturizes a standard vehicle that served reliably well into the 1980s.Technical DetailsDriver's cab and flatbed in postal yellow. Chassis and cardan shaft in black. Interior and steering wheel in light gray. Flatbed insert in silver. Orange-transparent warning light inserted in the center of the roof in the yellow base. WIKING 037111 - Unimog U 411 "Toense"Prototype InformationHardly any transport company slapped its jet-black company lettering so prominently onto the bright yellow sides of its vehicles as Toense. Thus, the Unimog U 411 in its closed version joins the product line, expanding the Toense theme, where each model tells its own story. The Unimog with its Westfalia cab was considered a valuable workhorse in the Toense fleet, handling a wide variety of shunting tasks. With this reissue of the 65-year-old model molds, the traditional model maker has achieved a contemporary finish – thanks to intricate printing and highly detailed tires and rims.Model DetailsCab with flatbed in zinc yellow. Interior with steering wheel, chassis, and rims in black. Radiator grille with trim strips, Unimog lettering, and Mercedes-Benz star printed in silver. Black Toense lettering on the hood and cabin doors.Detailed scale model for adult collectors. Handle with care. Not suitable for children under 14 years. WIKING 037405 - Unimog U 1300 "Pieper"Prototype InformationFor daily operations at the Dortmund location, it was indispensable – the heavy transport specialist Pieper knew how to use the Unimog U 1300 as a reliable workhorse, mostly in the freight yard. The Unimog was the first choice because it proved invaluable in shunting operations. Pieper has a long tradition in the freight forwarding industry, having been founded in Dortmund back in 1901. Up until the 1950s, Pieper grew with the diverse tasks that the reconstruction of the Ruhr region demanded of the freight forwarding company. This is how the company became one of the industry's leading players.Model DetailsCab with warning light base and flatbed in green-beige, interior in olive-brown. Chassis with driveshaft, rims and bumper element in fire-engine red. Bumper printed with white warning stripes. Black radiator grille with silvered Mercedes-Benz star and Unimog lettering. WIKING 039013 - Long timber transporter (Henschel)Model DetailsThe large cab-over trucks of the post-war decades had to prove themselves daily in forestry operations. There, the power had to be transferred to the road under the weight of the heavy log load in rough terrain. And the Henschel HS 140 lived up to its good reputation back then, pulling logs from the forest to the sawmill. The HS 140 is a typical cab-over truck of its time – it shaped the 1950s before cubic cab-over-engine trucks became popular at the Kassel-based truck manufacturer in the following decade. A fine tractor body with the prototypical engravings of the Henschel star and body creases adorns the 1:87 model. The driver's cab features the typical bulbous doors. Extensive engravings of the rear window and roof vents characterize the driver's cab. The radiator grille features the typical Henschel star, which is even used as a separate part. Added to this are the Henschel lettering on the side and the raised hood buckles.Technical DetailsCab pale brown, interior clay brown. Fenders, chassis with propeller shaft, and rims blood orange. Inset radiator grille iron gray with silver-plated Henschel star. Trailer with intermediate bar pale brown, fenders and rims blood orange. Tree trunks brown beige. WIKING 039014 - Langholztransporter (MB Pullman) - moosgrünPrototype InformationIt was once the first cab-over-engine tractor unit that Mercedes-Benz dedicated to forestry transport tasks. Until the arrival of the first Pullman generation, only conventionally cab-over-engine trucks with the three-pointed star above the radiator grille were used for transporting long timber. The drivers of the first Mercedes-Benz cab-over-engine generation nevertheless appreciated the precise steering and the increased maneuverability of the long timber rigs, which were usually equipped with extra-long loads. Now, the strikingly compact tractor unit with its large cab pulls the logs to their destination.Model DetailsMoss green cab, olive brown interior. Anthracite gray chassis, driveshaft, and rims. WIKING 040173 - Flatbed truck (Henschel HS 14/16) -Prototype InformationThese were the standard colors of the Kassel-based truck manufacturer, delivered hundreds of times: When the Henschel HS 14/16 was delivered, a two-part paint scheme for the cubic cab was not only desired by customers, but also considered state-of-the-art – it signaled the dawn of the 1960s. WIKING model maker Alfred Kedzierski had done an excellent job. When Henschel presented its new generation of trucks at the 1961 IAA (International Motor Show), the forward-looking series of cubic cabs was also part of the lineup. French designer Louis Lucien Lepoix had designed them, giving all Henschel trucks a distinctive and impactful look from then on. WIKING has miniaturized the successful flatbed truck, which still exudes charm today thanks to its round headlights and its smiling appearance.Model DetailsCab upper section pearl white, cab lower section with round headlights quartz gray. WIKING 042004 - Flatbed truck (Magirus) "Hamburger Spedition"Model DetailsAfter the war, the Magirus round-cab truck model ensured the reliable distribution traffic to which the Hamburg-based forwarding company had already committed itself in the pre-war years. Founded in 1931, the logistics company is one of the oldest companies in the Hanseatic city and maintains an illustrious fleet of major truck brands. With 90 years of forwarding and logistics experience, the Hanseatic company considers itself an expert – regardless of whether it involves groupage, container, hazardous goods, or refrigerated transport. In 1977, it was the well-known Scania 111 LB that brought a fresh twist to the WIKING range. Recently, the Henschel HS 14/16 and the MAN Pausbacke box trailer recalled the great days of the Hamburg forwarding company; now the round-cab truck completes the model-making quartet of the popular WIKING semitrailers!Technical DetailsRed cab. Interior: fawn brown. Chassis, rear fenders, and rims: red. Silver-plated headlights, taillights: red. Ivory beige flatbed with dusty gray insert and traffic gray tarpaulin. WIKING 042503 - Suitcase-Lkw (Henschel HS 14/16) "Union Transport"Prototype InformationWIKING writes stories like these – and brand enthusiasts appreciate them. Now, the Henschel HS 14/16, with its cab in Union-Transport colors and box body in the contemporary Overstolz livery, is being added to the product line. The legendary Overstolz cigarettes never ran out on Fritz Peltzer's desk – WIKING fans know about Peltzer's passion. The former WIKING founder and avid smoker was a devoted Overstolz fan. During the "75 Years of Vehicle Models" anniversary year, WIKING commemorated the Overstolz delivery fleet with a T1 model based on the original. Now, the matching truck follows as a thematic counterpart – Fritz Peltzer would have been delighted and surely would have chuckled at the idea alone. WIKING enthusiasts have long been familiar with the Union Transport theme, so this model addition offers a dual connection to the subject.Model DetailsCab upper section carmine red, cab lower section black. Chassis with driveshaft, rims, and rear fenders black. Interior black. Box body with roof and doors pearl white. Front of cab with silver Henschel lettering, Henschel star, and headlights. WIKING 042906 - Flatbed truck (MB LP 333) "Clark"Prototype InformationThe fleet of vehicles belonging to Ruhr Intrans, the former German licensee of Clark forklifts, is growing and developing into a typical WIKING themed series. It all started when model maker Alfred Kedzierski created the Clark forklift in 1:25 scale at the beginning of the 1950s. Some 65 years later, this had evolved into a delicate 1:87 scale forklift, reminiscent of the lifting equipment generation of the post-war years. And now, based on original photographs from the late 1950s, the "Millipede" (a nickname for the Clark forklift) is being added! In coral red, of course. The Mercedes-Benz LP 333, with its extensive loading capacity, had proven its worth to the Clark licensee in the Ruhr region and was used by Ruhr Intrans for a variety of tasks. From the Ruhr area, the Clark truck with its characteristic double front axle traveled throughout West Germany to procure goods for production. WIKING's history with Clark forklifts has become particularly special, as the series is now complete: Alongside the Clark forklift, WIKING released the Mercedes-Benz Pullman tractor unit with delivery low-loader, and most recently, the Mercedes-Benz L 319 service vehicle. This new quartet is thus brimming with model-making history – naturally, in true WIKING style!Model DetailsCoral red body, iron gray interior with pearl white steering wheel. WIKING 043310 - High-sided flatbed truck (Scania 111 LBT) -Prototype InformationScania used precisely this white and sky-blue color combination in its advertising for the cab-over generation of the "110" series in the 1970s. The high-sided flatbed truck was indeed highly relevant to sales, as Scania was able to score points with it in its core Scandinavian markets. WIKING responded with a corresponding cab, which very deliberately featured a two-tone design for the cab and roof. This adhered to the design practice of the prototype. The traditional model makers used the Scania cab-over generation in numerous combinations as a trailer combination and semi-trailer truck. Later, model builders benefited from the fact that the new "111" series in 1975 only had a subtle facelift, allowing WIKING to introduce a corresponding type update in 1977, ensuring a wide variety of models well into the 1980s.Model DetailsCab and chassis with driveshaft in white. WIKING 044402 - Box truck (Chevrolet) "Evinrude"Model DetailsThe name has always been legendary among motorboat enthusiasts. Under the Evinrude brand, outboard motors were produced in the USA under various names and sold worldwide. The founder, Ole Evinrude (1877–1934), an engineer originally born in Norway, was also an early namesake. Hundreds of thousands of engines later bore his name. And the US Chevy, which WIKING miniaturized based on the 1950s model, also represented the successful years of this outboard motor, which impressed with its power and speed. WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer had the 1955/56 Chevrolet truck miniaturized and integrated this miniature and other reference models based on American models into the product range. The WIKING founder was drawn to the Chevrolet because, with its pointed fenders and abundant engraved decorations, it fit the stereotype of American trucks.Technical DetailsCab with chassis, drive shaft, and rims in brilliant blue, trunk with roof and doors in beige. WIKING 044604 - Lattice-body truck (Int. Harvester) - orangeModel DetailsThis is how the International Harvester was known all too well in the USA. The lattice body was one of the original variants when the Loadstar was ordered by its new owners. The IH Loadstar was used for a wide variety of transport tasks. WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer consciously oriented himself towards the market realities of the country of origin. The stake body results in a rare but contemporary, attractive model that represents the traffic situation of the 1960s and 1970s. WIKING once needed the IH Loadstar to supply the international markets with a model typical of the market.Technical DetailsDriver's cab in traffic orange, interior in mouse gray. WIKING 044701 - Flatbed Truck (Volvo F88) - burgundyPrototype InformationWith this classic truck, WIKING has combined new molds that belong together: The Volvo F88, with its stake body, takes on a new role within the range of contemporary trucks. Early on, the traditional model makers adapted the scale to their own classic models, so that all body options are now modular. This gives the F88, with its distinctive, high-riding cab, a function typical not only in Scandinavia, because the variable platform with stakes allows for diverse loading options. Thus, the Volvo cab-over fits seamlessly into the range of everyday classic trucks. The fact that the F88 now rolls into the program on a three-axle chassis made from new molds demonstrates once again how WIKING brings the combination of new molds to perfection.Model DetailsCab with sun visor and flatbed with stakes in burgundy, cab base and double fenders in graphite gray.
